Elk’s Lodge 1714 local Essay Winners this year were presented to the following Hackler students: Tucker Coleman, Pruett Sutton, and Annabelle McMackins. Their essays were sent to compete in the State competition where Tucker won 2nd overall at State and Pruett took 3rd. It is my pleasure to present the Outdoor Adventures Educator of the Year: Freddy Penka. Coach Penka was notified of his receipt of this national award last fall and recently a team came to film him teaching and talked to him about the impacts this class has on students' lives. Please take a moment to watch this video and to reflect on the lives our educators are changing every day.
