Congratulations to the 25 educators in our district who will receive merit incentive funds this year from the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education!
According to DESE’s website, the LEARNS Act (Act 237 of the 2023 Regular Session) established the Merit Teacher Incentive Fund Program, also known as Merit Pay, to recognize and reward Arkansas's outstanding educators. The program's primary goals are to retain high-performing teachers in classrooms across the state and enhance teacher recruitment and retention in priority (e.g., mentors) and critical shortage areas.
Each of the educators who has received merit pay qualified in at least one of the following areas:
• Demonstrate outstanding growth in student performance;
• Are employed in subject, geographic, and other critical shortage areas
• Serve as a mentor to aspiring teachers participating in yearlong residencies.
This is a major accomplishment, and we're so proud of our educators for committing to excellence in education -- every student, every time.

We did it! This was a year full of learning, growing, trials, and successes. We love our Bombers, and while we're excited for summer, we'll be ready for smiling faces on August 12! Have a wonderful, safe break!

We sure are going to miss our retirees! What a wonderful group of educators and support staff!

7th grade students from Pinkston attended the Naturals vs. Travelers baseball game yesterday at Arvest Ball Park. This game was the culminating activity for students that completed the Reading Baseball challenge this school year. About 80 students achieved their goal and attended the game yesterday.

We’re excited to share that several of our students recently earned recognition in the Preserving Our Past Art and Essay Contest, sponsored through Mrs. Hamby’s Gifted and Talented class.
Annabelle McMackins, Sarah Catherine Daugherty, and Laila Baxter were selected to have their artwork displayed by the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program in Little Rock. This is a tremendous honor for young artists across the state.
Laila Baxter also earned 3rd place in the 5th and 6th grade essay division.
In the 7th and 8th grade essay division, Caleb Stephens and Taylen Broadway placed 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
These awards reflect outstanding talent and achievement at the state level. Congratulations to all of our students for preserving the past through creativity and writing!

Our Teacher of the Year and Richard Padget Classified Staff Member of the Year: Cathy Beckham and Darren Crawford. Congratulations to these deserving individuals! You're great representatives of what it means to be a Bomber!
