Terran Armocido, a 2025 Mountain Home High School graduate, has won the first-ever “Chopped” competition at Ozarka College, where he is currently pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts.

According to Chef Edwards, Lead Culinary Professor at Ozarka College:
“Terran outshined ten other students in a high-pressure Chopped-style competition, impressing the judges with both creativity and precision. He delivered a perfectly seasoned pork tenderloin paired with a bold and flavorful black fried rice that showcased his skill and confidence in the kitchen. To finish, he sealed his victory with a rich and indulgent cheesecake dip, leaving a lasting impression and earning the top spot.”

We love seeing our Bombers thrive after graduation—congratulations, Terran!

The MHHS Quiz Bowl season came to a close last weekend at the 6A State Tournament in Marion. The team faced a challenging morning pool play session, competing against Russellville, Benton, and Lake Hamilton. Those results placed MHHS into a play-in game for the afternoon bracket, where they battled a well-matched El Dorado team in a hard-fought contest.

While the season has come to an end, the team demonstrated impressive effort, determination, and growth throughout the year. MHHS will graduate seven seniors who have made a lasting impact on the program and will be greatly missed.

With a strong group set to return, the future of MHHS Quiz Bowl looks bright heading into next season.
