I hope everyone has had a wonderful week. We pack so much into the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas which makes the time fly. I am thankful for a community that celebrates the season, and I look forward to the Christmas parade this evening and catching the Celebration of Lights at ASUMH.
MHPS -- in partnership with Mruk Family Education Center -- is hosting a Grandparents Raising Grandchildren event on Tuesday, December 7 at 6 p.m. at The Donald W. Reynolds Library. We know there are many in our community who are in this situation, and we are looking forward to providing resources and support at this event.
COVID-19 numbers continue to increase, and I would encourage you to pay attention to hygiene and distancing. We reported 18 positive cases and six close contacts from November 23-29. Since then we have had 12 positives. Please make sure you are taking precautions to help us finish 2021 strong!
We will be having early student release days (2 p.m.) on December 8, January 12 and 27, February 23, and March 10 to give our teachers time for collaboration and planning. Options for after-school care are available. Contact your child's office if you have questions.
We’ve had many wins this week. Do not let the hustle of the season let the W’s go by without enjoying them!
